WATER PENETRATION - SHEPHERDS BUSH:

Rainwater penetration has many causes, but the outcomes are the same, this is crumbling plaster, bubbling paint, efflorescent salting and mould growth. Common causes are plaster cracking, major cracks, inferior paint, face bricks, bare plaster work and various roof leaks.

If not treated and the causes rectified, it will lead to severe damage both internally and externally.

We first repaired the external side of the wall to ensure it was completely sealed and protected against further water penetration. We then removed the badly damaged plaster from the wall back to the brick and replaced it with a breathable damp-proof plaster.
